Doug Clark, President and CEO and founder of AmeriQuest, has always been at the forefront of the transportation industry. He recognized early on that consolidation was shaping the landscape of the commercial trucking industry. Independent companies would not survive unless they were able to compete with the large industry players. There was no solution.

Reinventing Transportation
Doug invented a new business model called the Collective Business System to better serve the customer’s needs and enable independent companies to compete in their marketplace. The Collective Business System was awarded a patent in 2002 and includes a sales force that is responsible for selling services nationwide, procurement amalgamation that enables the group to buy volume discounts greater than they can receive individually, and technology that makes the process work accurately, seamlessly, and without paper.
